HYANNIS, Mass.—Nine people, including five children, were injured in a three-vehicle crash on Cape Cod that involved a school van.
Fire officials said the five children, who were between 15 months and 5 years old, were shaken up but not seriously hurt in the accident in Barnstable on Thursday.
Police Sgt. Sean Sweeney said an initial investigation indicates a pickup truck was hit by a car while crossing the road. The truck then hit the school van from the Crystal Gardens Child Care Center.
A woman in the pickup truck was reportedly unconscious after the crash, and was taken to Cape Cod Hospital.
