EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I.—In honor of Veteran’s Day, Ana’s Bridal Boutique in East Providence is giving away wedding gowns for military brides-to-be.

To qualify brides must be engaged, be on active duty in the military or have a fiancé on active duty in either Iraq or Afghanistan.

The owners of Ana’s Bridal said they’re trying to show their appreciation for those who serve our country.

The shop has hand-selected designer gowns to give away on a first come, first served basis.

“It’s everything,“ said bride Megan Cavanagh. “Just the fact that they are giving a dress for free, because I’m sure not many girls know the sacrifice a girlfriend or a wife makes to someone in the service…it’s awesome.“

That is my sister Meghan in the photos and interview. We couldn’t believe it that Ana’s was just giving away new wedding gowns to military brides as a way to thank the soldiers and give back to the country. We wouldn’t have been able to buy her the dress of her dreams and now Ana’s has made that possible for us and she is going to have the wedding she has always dreamed of having. Ana’s Bridal shop is a great place to go for wedding gowns, tuxes, and bridal party dresses. The owners are such awesome people and family owned. We are definitely going back there for the bridesmaids gowns. I definitely recommend going there, you won’t be disappointed!

If I ever hear of someone getting married, I will certainly have them check-out Ana’s!

Good for them.  This is a great way to give back to the people that keep our country free.
