A North Providence woman was convicted of embezzling from her employer.

The Providence Journal reported that 31-year old Kimberly St. Michele embezzled up to $67,000 from Mount Pleasant Hardware in Providence.  She was the store’s bookkeeper.

Prosecutors said St. Michele pocketed some of the store’s receipts and falsified records to make it look like the money was deposited in the store’s account.

Desperate times call for desperate measures!  Sad, but true! The funny thing is this chick is going to have to pay restitution, I’m sure!
