SMITHFIELD, R.I.—The body of an 80-year-old Providence man was pulled from a reservoir in Smithfield on Thursday, police said.
The body of Setrak Atyan was found in the Wenscott Reservoir, also called Twin Rivers.
Family members said the man took daily walks in the adjacent Governor Notte Park in North Providence. Relatives reported him missing Thursday afternoon when he failed to come home.
A North Providence animal control officer found Atyan’s body floating in the water.
The reservoir is in parts of Smithfield, North Providence and Lincoln.

my thing was…if you’ve never noticed we all post on alot of stories here, whether its smithfield or not, heck we probably all know each other.
it is sad what happened and we did all veer off the subject….but now we all have a tiny bond…
I’m sorry though. Someone passed away and I’m deviating from the subject big time. Kind of got carried away, sorry.
Godsmack: It is a little weird. The story has “Smithfield” in the headline so I guess that explains why people from the same town would check out the story, but what are the odds that we all basically live on the same street, LOL.
hmmm…..did they update that before I posted? oops
I still can’t believe we all live near one another.
Did anyone know this gentleman? I feel so bad about it…hope he is resting in peace.
Godsmack your the BEST!!!
Thanks
From projo.com - geesh 10 is slow and we should all get paid.
My thoughts and prayers to all of his loved ones.
