BRISTOL, R.I. – If Hedwig and Pigwidgeon are some of your favorite literary characters, you may want to be in Bristol this weekend.

The Audubon Society of Rhode Island is hosting its annual Raptor Weekend.

Raptor experts from all over New England will be on hand featuring birds of prey, like owls, hawks, eagles, and falcons.

The 7th annual event takes place on Saturday and Sunday, September 12 and 13 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Environmental Education Center at 1401 Hope Street.

It is the largest bird of prey event in New England and will feature activities for the whole family, including live flight presentations.
