CONCORD, N.H.—The New Hampshire Attorney General’s office says a man hanged himself in Massachusetts after attacking his wife in their Londonderry home, killing her.
The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Massachusetts has determined that 46-year-old Suzanne Vernet’s cause of death was blunt force trauma to the head. Police said she was found unconscious and severely injured last Wednesday night; she died at a Boston hospital the next day.
Authorities searched for her husband, 48-year-old Binh Vernet. They found him near his car in Rehoboth, Mass. The medical examiner’s office said he died as a result of asphyxia due to hanging.
Police said two of the couple’s four children witnessed the attack on their mother and one called 911.
