PORTSMOUTH, R.I.—Nine people were decontaminated and three went to a hospital after coming in contact with a cleaning agent at a Raytheon plant in Portsmouth.
The people who had to be decontaminated included police officers and firefighters who responded to the scene. A hazardous-materials crew also responded.
One firefighter was taken to a hospital for an unrelated medical problem.
