Police ID woman killed in crash

SCITUATE, R.I.—Police have identified a woman who was killed in a three-car crash in Scituate on Tuesday.

Katherine O’Toole, 48, of Foster, was driving on Route 12 near Route 116 at about 11:30 p.m. when police said a pickup truck crossed into her lane and hit her head-on.

A third car hit the pickup as it flipped off the road.

O’Toole died at the scene. The two other drivers were taken to a hospital with injuries not considered to be life-threatening.
