Entwistle researched suicide on Web

WOBURN, Mass. -- A police detective has testified a British man accused of fatally shooting his wife and baby daughter researched suicide on his computer three days before the killings.

Neil Entwistle is accused of killing his wife, Rachel, and their 9-month-old daughter, Lillian Rose, on Jan. 20, 2006, in their Hopkinton home.

Medford Detective Lawrence James, a forensic computer specialist, testified Wednesday that Entwistle's laptop was used to do a Google search for "quick suicide method."

Prosecutors have said Entwistle searched online for methods of murder and suicide.

Judge Diane Kottmyer ended testimony for the day just as James was asked to describe what activity there was on Entwistle's computer the day of the killings, after the time authorities believe his wife and daughter were shot.
