Guardsman Charged With Theft

The RI National Guard and RI State Police both confirm the arrest of Michael Denis, 43, a full-time member of the RI Army National Guard, on theft charges. Denis worked at the Joint Operations Center for the RI National Guard and is suspected of stealing computer screens from the center. He was arrested by State Police over the weekend and charged with larceny over $500. He was processed at State Police Lincoln Woods, arraigned in front of a Justice of the Peace and released.

Denis has since been terminated from his full-time position with the National Guard, but remains a part-time member of the RI Army National Guard pending results of the civilian criminal process
