Woman Killed In Crash Is Identified

GLOCESTER, R.I. - A Harrisville woman was killed in a car crash on Friday after she lost control of her car and was struck by an oncoming truck.

Police said Sirlina Cheng, 23, was driving west on Route 44 at about 11:30 a.m. when she lost control of her 2004 Nissan going around a curve.

Police said the icy road conditions may have contributed to the crash.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene by the state medical examiner's office.

The accident remains under investigation.
