DALLAS—Southwest Airlines Co., which has bashed competitors for charging fees, says it will let passengers carry small dogs and cats onboard for a $75 fee each way.
Southwest also will start charging a fee for unaccompanied minors, and it’s raising its fee for checking a third piece of luggage or an overweight bag.
The new fees will begin June 17.
Chief Executive Gary Kelly said Friday the new fees are “a charge for items that are truly an extra service.“
