Recalled yogurt may contain sanitizer

Stop & Shop is recalling containers of yogurt that may contain a food-grade sanitizer.

The recall is for 32-ounce containers of Stonyfield Farm fat-free plain yogurt.

The containers have the UPC code 52159 00006. The recall applies to containers with the product code May 06 09 with time stamps from 22:17 through 23:59, and product code May 07 09 with all time stamps.

Stonyfield said consumers have reported an “off-taste” to the yogurt, but there have been no reports of illness.

Customers should take the containers back to Stop & Shop for a refund or call the supermarket at 800-767-7772 for more information.
