NORTH KINGSTOWN, R.I.—Town officials gathered Friday for a ribbon-cutting ceremony to open a new, shared-use bike path at Quonset Point.

Pedestrians and cyclists will be able to use the path, which travels along the perimeter of the Business Park from Post Road to the Calf Pasture Nature Preserve and the waterfront.

The new path is 2.5 miles.
