PROVIDENCE—The Rhode Island Department of Health on Friday announced the preliminary schedule for H1N1 vaccination clinics in public and private schools.

The clinics are scheduled to begin Nov. 2 and will run for six weeks. The order of the school clinics was randomly selected.

The vaccine is voluntary.

The Department of Health said preschool-age children will get vaccinated in doctors’ offices not in the school clinics.

This week, letters and consent forms were sent home with students or mailed to their homes.

The consent form must be completed and returned to the school prior to the clinic. The forms should not be returned to the Health Department.

Parents and students are encouraged to check the Health Department’s Web site regularly for updates to the clinic schedule.

Hmmmmmm….let’s see..it takes four to six weeks to get the shot..and then two to become effective..that seems to be a couple of months right there.  If they , maybe, put people on overtime to produce this vaccine, and then everybody moved their rear ends a little faster, we would not have kids dying.  And PEOPLE, please don’t take your kids out into public places if they have the flu…no respect for the rest of the population.
