A new treatment can kill pre-cancerous cells in the esophagus.
A condition known as Barrett’s esophagus refers to abnormal changes in the cells in the swallowing tube.
It’s a condition often caused by persistent acid reflux, and it’s considered pre-cancerous.
For years, doctors would keep an eye on these patients and if it began to progress, do surgery.
But there’s a new option.
