Health Check: Congenital heart defects

The American Heart Association says 1 million Americans are living with a heart defect.

There are about 35,000 babies are born a year with one. But because of advances more children are surviving.

NBC 10’s Barbara Morse Silva reports.

I am amazed at the strength of these parents!  My husband and I lost our son to HLHS on August 21st.  He was just under 4 months old.  We have the intentions of continuing his legacy somehow, but are unable to do so at this time…it’s all still too new.  God bless you for what you are doing, and for all that you will help.
