WARWICK, R.I. -- A top administrator at Miriam Hospital has been named the new president and chief executive at Kent Hospital.

Sandra Coletta was selected on Wednesday to lead the Warwick hospital out of a national pool of about 50.

She replaces the retiring Mark Crevier.

Coletta, who lives in Johnston, is currently the chief operating officer of Miriam Hospital in Providence.

The CEO of Care New England, which operates the 359-bed Kent Hospital, calls Coletta the "ideal candidate."

Coletta starts Oct. 1.
