EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I.—A multimillion dollar project designed to bring back more herring to spawn on the Ten Mile River in East Providence was dedicated on Thursday.

Three fish ladders will line the river allowing more than 200,000 herring to climb up and get to Turner Reservoir.

Previously, staff from the Ten Mile River Watershed Council made a human fish ladder.

The $3 million project will start early next year.
