Video Pick: Long Fish
Video Pick: Fish
Today's video pick is from the deepest depths of the sea in Taiwan.Published: June 1, 2009
Our turnto10.com video pick comes to us from Taiwan where a fisherman’s giant catch has some people predicting an earthquake.
The fish is over 15 feet long and weighs more than 220 pounds.
Some Taiwanese fishermen believe these giant fish rise from the depths when an earthquake is imminent.
The fish is known as the “King of Herrings,“ and is considered to be the largest of this bony type of fish.
Scientists say it lives at extreme depths, up to 3,000 feet down, so sightings are rare.
But the experts say there’s no proof of any connection between catches of this fish, and impending earthquakes.
