Video Pick: Chile Volcano

» 0 Comments | Post a Comment

Our turnto10.com video pick comes to us from Chile, almost 500 miles south of Santiago, where a volcano continues to erupt.

Ash, smoke and lava have been coming from the Llaima Volcano since Friday.

Residents of nearby towns had to evacuate.  The lava melted snow on the mountainside, sending floodwaters down the slope, wiping out at least one bridge.

It’s one of the most active volcanos in South America. It last erupted in January of 2008.
