PROVIDENCE—WaterFire will light up Halloween for the event’s last date of the season.
The Providence public arts event, which involves fires floating atop downtown rivers, is holding a special Halloween night lighting on Saturday.
It’s also holding a costume contest. Undercover judges will roam the crowd and award prizes for the most creative, beautiful and original costumes.
WaterFire is one of New England’s most popular arts attractions.
The lighting will be at 7 p.m. and the fires will remain lit until midnight.
