PROVIDENCE—Security is being beefed up around the Dunkin’ Donuts Center on Thursday night because of a rap concert.

A crowd of 4,000 to 5,000 people is expected to attend the show starring T.I. and T-Pain.

Fifteen police officers will be stationed in the building with another 14 outside for traffic control.  Forty-five security guards will also be on duty.

An official with the Rhode Island Convention Center Authority, which manages the Dunk, said the police presence is meant to act as a deterrent to trouble.
