Coventry couple wins $75K jackpot

MASHANTUCKET, Conn.—A Coventry couple won $75,000 at MGM Grand at Foxwoods on Tuesday night.
James and Maureen MacIntyre won the prize on the 5X Lucky 7’s slot machine.
“We’ve been coming to Foxwoods and MGM Grand at Foxwoods since they opened, and we always have a wonderful time,“ James MacIntryre said. “This visit takes the cake. We’ll certainly be back soon.“

Semi I’m not bothering you. You are a very negative person. You can not even be happy for someone. To me people like that have a problem and should seek help. Maybe some form of a happy pill. I admit I do some witching on here but it’s about the RI gov or some murderer. When I read a story about something good I’m happy for that person. There is enough bad around right now. I’d like to see more good luck or good news stories.

Yeah, there’s nothing like gambling. Especially in these hard financial times, it give you hope. This story kind of makes me want to go to foxwoods tomorrow and drop a few hundred on slots.
I also have to agree with redsox I’ve only ever hit $200 but it was a great feeling so couldn’t even imagine that.
Semi another nice thing about this is Maureen like many other of us here in RI lost her job in Jan when the company locked the doors. She worked for the company 36 years. So this will help make life a little easier.
If you don’t frequent casinos, you might not realize that to win that much money on one spin of a slot machine is very, very rare. My husband hit a slot machine for 900 bucks once and we were giddy lol.
I’m very happy for them. It’s the amount of money that they won that confused me. 75 grand? Doesn’t someone in this state win that much or more everyday?
We can have a good story once in a while semi. Better than reading about murders or robberies. Spend it in good health Mr and Mrs MacIntyre.
