Can you pass the Rhode Test?
Rhode Test Game
A new game puts your knowledge of Rhode Island to the test.
WARWICK, R.I.—How well do you know Rhode Island?
A new game will put your knowledge to the test.
Roberta Mudge Humble, the creator of Rhode Test, is a writing and communications teacher at the Community College of Rhode Island.
The game consists of 270 cards that contain facts and trivia about Rhode Island in categories ranging from famous people to the state’s 39 cities and towns.
The challenger reads clues one by one until the opponent answers correctly. Answering the question in one clue earns four points. The player only gets one point if he or she needs all four clues.
Players soon realize there’s a lot to be proud of in Rhode Island.
“We have so much history. We have the nation’s best historic architecture, and we have the most,“ Humble said.
Humble said she started thinking about creating the game while authoring two books years ago.
She is already thinking about a follow-up game with harder questions.
It will be called Rhode Scholar.
Rhode Test is available at stores across the state. Ten percent of the game’s profits will go to the Westerly Armory.
