Report: RI worst state for business

Rhode Island is the worst state for business, according to an annual ranking of U.S. states for business prospects by Forbes magazine.

The Ocean State ranked last at No. 50.

The magazine ranks the states based on costs, labor supply, regulatory environment, current economic climate, growth prospects and quality of life. Business costs, which include labor, energy and taxes were weighted the most heavily.

According to the ranking, Rhode Island had the worst regulatory environment and high business costs.

Virginia garnered the top spot for the best business climate in the country for the fourth straight year.

If Mr. Caccieri is so great in business, WHY are we in worse shape than ever, think about it . I think business men are NO GOOD for GOVENORS

This is true. Utilities, insurances and stiff competetion overseas makes it impossible opperate a business in RI. God bless us all….
