Rhode Islanders are paying one of the highest property tax burdens in the United States.

The Tax Foundation, a Washington DC group, says Ocean Staters have the fourth highest property tax burden in the nation.

Only Connecticut, Ohio and New Jersey are higher.

The study counts local property taxes on land and buildings, as well as real estate transfers and estate taxes.

geeee i wonder why . this state has the biggest gluttons on the face of this planet . if anyone notice , when there something bad that , rhode island is on the top of the list . but when there is something good rhode island is always on the bottom of the list what rhode islanders have to start doing , stop voting on the people that are throwing money around so they canbe voted in .  but look at the person thats has achive something . and still has room to grow and to make our state grow with him . we have to stop thinking big money will work for this state . they don’t care about the hard working people thats trying to make ends meet. because they had a silver spoon in there mouth most of there lives .
