They’ve already made a good start—they’re thinking of raising tolls on the Newport-Jamestown Bridge.  That will certainly ease traffic—when people go around and jam up the Rte 114 and Rte 138 roadways. 

All the ideas to build new roadways that were stopped cold helps too.  The end of Rte. 24 isn’t too bad, but the abortion at the Newport end of the Pell Bridge is real nice—I mean real confusing.  It looks like urban renewal gone bad—or stopped cold.

All I know is that Newport will have less and less visitors because of the politicians and their shenanigans.
