Teacher: Schools place too much on test scores

Standardized testing has its place in education but there needs to be balance, according to Michael Geisen, the National Teacher of the Year.

The 35-year-old middle school science teacher from Oregon talked to the Rhode Island Retired Teacher’s Association on Tuesday.
