Man shot in Warwick

WARWICK, R.I.—Warwick police said Thursday that a home where a man was shot was targeted.
Matthew McGowan, 22, was shot in stomach at about 11:20 p.m. Wednesday. Police said the gunmen had targeted McGowan’s King Steet home.
McGowan was in critical condition Thursday at Rhode Island Hospital. His wife was not injured.
Police combed the area for two gunmen who fled on foot.
State police and Cranston police are assisting Warwick police in the investigation.
