Man pleads guilty in casino scam

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. - Federal prosecutors say a 31-year-old Massachusetts man has pleaded guilty to taking part in a $1.8 million credit card scam at Foxwoods Resort Casino.

Truong Truong of New Bedford, Mass., pleaded guilty Tuesday to one count of bank fraud. The charge is related to a scheme through which fraudulent automated payments from fictitious bank accounts
were posted to credit card accounts.

According to court documents, Truong and Sung Huynh came up with a scheme to defraud Bank of America by causing bogus automated credits to be posted to Truongs credit card accounts.

Last year, Huynh pleaded guilty to one count of access device fraud.

Truong is to be sentenced in January and faces up to 30 years in prison and a fine of up to $1 million.
