Man dies after car falls on him

JOHNSTON, R.I.—A Johnston man doing mechanical work on his car has died after the vehicle apparently fell on him.
Police Major Ralph Bubar III told The Providence Journal that 57-year-old Robert Barkan was found dead Monday night when his wife returned from work.
An autopsy was being done Tuesday to determine the cause of death.
Bubar says it appears the 1996 Pontiac Grand Am rolled off the jack and pinned Barkan underneath.
