Stop & Shop pulls potato products

QUINCY, Mass.—Stop & Shop Supermarket Co. has pulled several potato products from its shelves because of possible bacterial contamination.
The company said it has pulled 20 oz. bags of Giant Food LLC’s Simply Potatoes Shredded Hash Browns, Simply Potatoes Homestyle Slices and Simply Potatoes Red Potato Wedges.
The items all have “use by” dates on their packages ranging from March 29 to April 3, 2009.
