Video Pick: Oldest Dog

» 1 Comment | Post a Comment

Our turnto10.com video pick comes to us from New York City, the site of a very special celebration for a very special dog.

Her hair is completely white now, she gets cold easily and needs a sweater even in the summer and she needs glasses for her cataracts.  But hey, “Chanel” is 147 years old—at least in dog years.

In fact, at age 21, the dachshund is the oldest dog in the world, according to the Guinness Book of World Records.

For her birthday, Chanel got a trip to New York with her human best friend and a big birthday bash at the New York Dog Hotel and Spa.

Chanel’s owners say she’s still feisty in her old age and even takes a little sip of whisky every now and then.

I have a black and tan mini pincher born November 5th 1987. Shadow has been blind for the last 5 years and is still hangin on. Shadow will be 22 years old this year. I’m sure he will make at least a few more Birthdays
