Fidelity adding 500 jobs to Smithfield campus

Fidelity Investments will add more than 500 jobs to its Smithfield workforce starting early next year.

The Providence Journal reported that the jobs will be transferred to Rhode Island from other locations. 

The Smithfield campus is expected to employ about 2,800 people when the transfers are complete.

The moves are part of a reorganization of Fidelity’s operations throughout New England.
