Bank of America to vacate downtown tower

»  Comments | Post a Comment

Bank of America will pull out of 111 Westminster St. in Providence by early next year, according to reports in The Providence Journal and the Providence Business News.

PBN reported that Bank of America declined an option to renew its lease in the distinctive art deco tower that dominates the city's skyline.

The company said it plans to consolidate its workers in other office space it already leases in Providence by April 2013. The bank branch on the ground floor will also move.

Bank of America is the sole tenant of the 26-story building, which was originally called the Industrial Trust Tower.
