A pane of glass separates Sherri Nunes from her wedding dress at Cinderella's Bridal Salon in West Warwick.
A note on the door reads the store is closed because of an illness.
However, the phone number is also disconnected.
"I feel like I was lied to. I feel like I was robbed," Nunes said.
Other customers do too.
The Rhode Island Attorney General's office has received 15 complaints. Jen Koussa was one of them, having paid $1,500 for a dress she hasn't received.
"They lied. I called them two weeks ago to try and set up my bridal party. The woman told me she was going on vacation," Koussa said.
Corporate records show Judith Gray owns Cinderella's. NBC 10 was able to reach her on the phone and she said her lawyer told her not to talk about what had happened. She then hung up.
Her son, Scott Gray, who worked closely with clients, didn't return calls from NBC 10.
Inside the store, there's a half a cup of coffee on the desk and the cash register is open, but there's no money inside.
Meanwhile, brides to be, like Nunes, just want some sort of resolution before their wedding.
"That's my dress. It's my dress and I can't touch it," she said.
The Sarno and Sons tuxedo shop shared space with the bridal salon.
NBC 10 spoke with a manager on Wednesday who said he was surprised by the abrupt closing.
Any Cinderella's customers with concerns are urged to call the attorney general's consumer protection unit.
