NORTH KINGSTOWN, R.I. -- Dignitaries and developers gathered at Quonset Business Park on Thursday to break ground on a hotel.
The Towne Place Suites by Marriott hotel will have four stories and 103 rooms.
The builders said they are using "green" building techniques and that they hope to have the hotel certified in the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) program.
Officials said the development joins eight other construction projects currently under way or recently completed in Quonset Business Park
