When Adrian Bryce Diorio was 16, he loved making smoothies.
That's when he said he believes the seeds were planted that's now blossomed into a growing skin care products company.
"I was making smoothies for myself and I just liked to experiment with different fruits and stuff like that and vegetables for a healthy smoothie for breakfast or lunch," Diorio said.
Always conscious of what's good for the skin, he started researching what goes in to conventional skin care products, only to find lots of chemicals and fillers.
"I think everyone gets that spark at one point in their life and they just run with it. And not everyone runs with that spark, but I ran with the spark, and now this is what I have with the spark," Diorio said.
Under the name of Bryce Organics, his company produces five different products from exfoliating facial polishing scrubs to masks and fruit acid facial peels. All of the products are available in a number of different flavors like Rhode Island Pumpkin and Rhode Island Coastal Blackberry.
"I saw a niche in the market, there's a lack of organic products, but not only that, there's a lack of these kinds of products," Diorio said.
The products are all edible and could be put on ice cream. But at the price which ranges from $19 to $69, it might be cheaper to go to Newport Creamery for your sweet tooth topping fix.
